A Study of Women's Health Information Seeking Behavior (30 to 50 Years) in Kermanshah

Background: Women play a decisive role in various aspects of family health, therefore their access to and using the documented health information order manage is very important. Objectives: This study aimed investigate seeking behavior 30 50 years old women Kermanshah city. Methods: cross-sectional online survey was conducted with among aged city, western Iran. Sample size based on Cochran's formula determined as 383 people. Participants were invited recruited through social media. Data collected researcher-made questionnaire. The validity questionnaire confirmed by panel experts consisting communication science specialists, its reliability Cronbach's alpha coefficient 0.783. analyzed one-way analysis variance independent t-test SPSS software version 24. Results: results showed that main purpose participants for (HISB) know about type diseases. Among resources, most use belonged Internet resources (website), national media (health channel TV), people around (family members), networks (telegram), doctors (specialist doctor) print sources (books). Health behaviors not differ according demographic variables including marital status, level education, income level, area residence. Conclusions: Heavy internet few visits doctors, less reading books are challenging because non-specialized undocumented may be used. Officials should provide virtual rich develop community women.
